BRIGHTER FUTURE FOR PLANET IS THE GOAL AS THE LAGUNA, A LUXURY COLLECTION RESORT & SPA, NUSA DUA, BALI GOES DARK FOR EARTH HOUR 2011


By spending an hour in the dark this week, The Laguna, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Nusa Dua, Bali will join millions around the world to send a powerful message about a brighter future for the planet.

The Laguna, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Nusa Dua, Bali will turn off its lights in observance of Earth Hour, the global environmental awareness event created by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). Last year, Earth Hour 2010 became the biggest Earth Hour ever. A record 128 countries and territories joined the global display of climate action. Iconic buildings and landmarks from Asia Pacific to Europe and Africa to the Americas switched off. People across the world from all walks of life turned off their lights and came together in celebration and contemplation of the one thing we all have in common – our planet.

Activities will include minimising lighting in various areas and reducing the consumption of energy in other areas including turning off water falls, laundry machine and pump circulation. During this time you will notice a change in the resorts lighting, Restaurants and Bars will be full displayed by candles as well as the Lobby.

To enhance the guest Earth Hour 2011 experience, a special Food & Beverage and Spa treatment package has been designed to experience the sanctuary of the moment. A delightful romantic candlelight dinner at The Laguna’s Gazebo by the beach and moonlight massage at gazebo are not to be missed.
